Dexter Edge is widely known for his work on Mozart sources and documents, and his work on Viennese music and musical life in the second half of the eighteenth century. His dissertation, “Mozart’s Viennese Copyists” (University of Southern California, 2001), under the direction of Bruce Alan Brown, has become a standard reference in the field. Edge's publications on Mozart have appeared in Journal of the Royal Musical Association, Early Music, Musical Times, Mozart-Jahrbuch, and Eighteenth-Century Music. He has taught at Cardiff University, Louisiana State University, the University of Memphis, New England Conservatory, and most recently at the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University. He lives in Bloomington, Indiana.

David Black graduated from Harvard University in 2007 with a dissertation on sacred music in Mozart’s Vienna. He has published in Acta Mozartiana, the Mozart-Jahrbuch, Early Music, Eighteenth-Century Music, Music and Letters, Journal of the American Musicological Society and the Cambridge History of Eighteenth-Century Music. His critical edition of the Mozart Requiem as completed by Süssmayr was published by Edition Peters in 2013. He was senior research fellow and director of music at Homerton College, Cambridge, and is now an honorary fellow at the University of Melbourne.
