The earliest report of Mozart's death
Posted: Sun, 20 Jul 2014
We have just added four new documents to our site:
- The earliest dated report of Mozart’s death (6 Dec 1791)
- A reference to Mozart in Johann Christoph Kaffka’s play Sechs Freyer und keine Braut (1787)
- A reference to Mozart as prodigy in Richard Griffith’s Something New (1772)
- A retrospective report of Leopold Mozart as guide to the house where Paracelsus died (1760)
The commentary to Kotzebue’s Menschenhaß und Reue (1789) has also been substantially updated.
Soon to be added: a large group of reviews of Mozart's operas, and a very early report of Die Zauberflöte.
